Big City Freaks

Being a street photographer in Newtown, I came across street art everywhere I went. I’ve always had a deep love for graffiti and was constantly on the look out for photo opportunities with street artists. Because what they do blurs the line of legality, most are extremely reluctant to have someone along taking pictures of them doing their work. By chance one of the crew from Big City Freaks invited me to come along to shoot a massive wall they were doing in the backstreets of the suburb. I spent the day with them photographing their creation using a Leica M6 and Kodak Portra.
